Celebrating Life

Education took many paths for Dio. He studied biology and nursing in college, later trained in automotive technology, and ultimately pursued work that reflected his adaptability and resilience. He was an automotive shop mechanic, a hospital patient transporter, and a surgical technician assistant. When his health allowed, he took on seasonal work as a UPS support driver.
In 2015, Dio married the love of his life, Rachel Jo, in a civil ceremony, followed by their Catholic church wedding in 2016. Their life together was rooted in faith, love, and mutual devotion, and they were blessed with a daughter, Rafaela Grace, who became the joy of his heart and his greatest pride.
Known for his big personality and even bigger heart, Dio loved to make others laugh, especially his daughter, nieces, and nephews. He was a natural problem-solver, calm under pressure, and generous with his time and wisdom. His compassion and generosity reached far and wide—always ready to help family and friends in times of need, offering encouragement and sound advice to those who sought it.

About
He found joy in life’s simple moments — overlanding, off-roading, hiking, paddleboarding, target shooting, and spending time outdoors with his family. He had a passion for cars and loved spending his free time fixing and maintaining vehicles for family and friends. He also had a deep love and curiosity for history and his Catholic faith, often reading or watching films and videos to deepen his understanding of both.
Dio’s life was marked by his deep faith, unshakable trust in God, and a wholehearted surrender to His will — even in life’s most difficult moments. His love for God, family, and friends leaves a legacy of faith, love and strength that will continue to inspire all those who knew him.
